Summer Bride

A winter wedding is magical and elegant.  A December wedding ends the year of planning with a romantic "you may kiss the bride."

A summer wedding, on the other hand, has a sense of calm as the bride and groom come together and join hands.  Their first kiss as husband and wife is peaceful.  An outdoor ceremony is ideal for summer weddings.  A June wedding launches a forever marriage in the start of summer.

There is something magical about a winter wedding - fresh glistening white snow to match the stunning white gown.  He shines in his tuxedo.  Elegance fills the atmosphere.

Luxe in Burgundy

On Bridal Shop, the wedding gown is always featured first.  The groom's tuxedo is placed second.  The maid of honor and wedding guest dresses fall in third.  

In the Luxe in Burgundy look, burgundy is the romantic hue for the couture ceremony and reception.  The dress as shown in this Fashmates set defines luxury feminine and, by design, is best reserved for attending the reception.

In this Luxe in Navy Blue Fashmates set, the look is best meant for a black tie wedding guest.  The guest list is extensive and the wedding is reflective of couture.  Navy blue is a gorgeous  and classic accent to the tone of the ceremony and reception.  She will look elegant in her luxury gown and heels.  Her statement jewels and clutch will add a finishing touch.  However, she will never distract from the focal point beauty of the bride.

Luxe In Satin

In the post, Luxe In Lace, I detailed my love for lace fabric in bridal gowns.  Lace truly is a romantic fabric for any special occasion and even for formal work wear.

With this said, satin as a fabric for bridal gowns must never be ruled out.  In my opinion alone, satin offers a shining touch to the overall design.

Where lace creates understated and classic beauty to a bridal gown, satin adds ultra feminine to bridal gowns.

The bridal gown in this Fashmates set is pure satin in fabric with beading detail at the shoulders.  The design is Trumpet/Mermaid and the satin elegantly highlights the style.

My take away -

Satin is a breathtaking fabric for wedding gowns that truly enhance the "blushing bride" experience.

Luxe In Lace

On Bridal Shop, luxury gowns by couture designers are the focal point.  As always, all else falls into place.

On Bridal Shop, the wedding gowns highlight a variety of styles and fabrics.

Fabrics.

In my opinion alone, lace is perhaps the most romantic fabric in women's fashion - from evening dresses to maid of honor and bridesmaid dresses to mother of the bride dresses and always bridal gowns.  

A lace gown in full is understated and precious in a simply beautiful way.

A bridal gown with lace accents is gorgeous and adds a touch of classic elegance.

As you can tell by now, lace is my most favorite fabric - but not just for bridal gowns.  Dresses for any other occasion and even formal blouses are just as, in one innocent word, pretty.

In the world of beauty, Tom Ford is the American equivalent of such names as Chanel, Dior, Estee Lauder, and so on.

In the world of men's fashion, Tom Ford's designs are classic and refined.

In the world of women's fashion, Tom Ford's designs are exquisite and timeless.

Tom Ford shines in couture.

Bridal Shop is defined by bridal gowns, both couture and within reason.  All else falls into place - maid of honor and bridesmaid dresses, the groom's tuxedo, best man and groomsmen apparel, and wedding guest apparel.  The bride and groom will set the theme for the wedding, so what she especially will wear is a reflection of budget and personal expectations of what the wedding party and guests will probably wear.

As for Tom Ford couture, the gown seen above is ideal for black tie ceremonies and receptions.

Jovani Couture

Jovani is a women's fashion brand specializing in prom dresses, evening dresses, formal and informal wedding dresses, couture dresses, and many more designs by occasion.

Jovani dresses can be found on the Jovani website as well as on the Mint Collection.

As with La Femme, Jovani designs are versatile by event - from bridal to evening to cocktail and all other styles in between.

This dress, if a bridal, would be ideal for an old Hollywood glam theme.

La Femme is a women's fashion brand specializing in prom dresses, evening dresses, bridal gowns, mother of the bride dresses, wedding guest dresses, and many other occasions.

An example of La Femme designs is featured below.

This La Femme dress is available in a variety of colors, including burgundy, gunmetal, navy, and nude.

Although the dress highlighted in the Fashmates set above is classified by La Femme for a prom, the design is versatile by occasion and can make an excellent bridal gown in a unique color.

Royal Wedding - October 12, 2018

On October 12, 2018, England once again celebrated a royal wedding - Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank. 

Although Princess Eugenie is a princess at birth, her formal title after marriage is HRH Princess Eugenie of York.  Her father is Prince Andrew, Duke of York.  Her mother, Sarah, is now titled Sarah, Duchess of York (no longer Her Royal Highness).

Princess Eugenie may not hold duchess title by marriage, but her wedding was nonetheless royally special and noted to the public.

She is a new addition to the British royal family with roots across the pond.

On April 29, 2011, royalty caught up to the modern generation with the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.  He is a prince at birth and Duke of Cambridge by marriage.  She is a princess by marriage and Duchess of Cambridge by marriage.

Madeline Gardner is the designer behind the Morilee bridal collection, as well as Blu, Voyage, AF Couture, and Julietta Plus Size.  The full background behind Morilee can be found here.

On Fashmates, Morilee by Madeline Gardner found inspiration in HRH Kate Middleton's bridal gown in her 2011 wedding to Prince William.  A replica was created shortly before the ceremony and a select few were sold thereafter.

For some couples, a wedding is set for a certain holiday to best express their shared unique interest and love for one another.
