Lazaro is of Cuban descent. He began his bridal design career in Chicago and later moved to New York to work as an apprentice for the bridal house, Galina-Bouquet. Shortly thereafter, Lazaro became the head designer for Richard Glasgow's Riccio Collection. In 1994, Lazaro launched his Lazaro Collection on JLM Couture. (JLM Couture)
