Carolina Herrera's background began when she was a publicist for Italian fashion designer, Emilio Pucci, in 1965.
In 1972, Carolina appeared on the International Best Dressed List. In 1980, she was elected into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. In 1981, Carolina was encouraged by Vogue's Editor-in-Chief, Diana Vreeland, to create a clothing line.
Carolina Herrera's collection debuted in the Metropolitan Club in New York City. Her work was given profound attention by an established Park Avenue boutique. Her ready-to-wear collection debuts twice a year at New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
