As with Bridal Party in Lace, I am doing the same here - satin bridesmaid dresses to match bridal gowns in satin.  As with Bridal Party in Lace, I am further accenting a romantic deep purple shade to compliment the bride's white wedding dress.  There are two main differences between Bridal Party in Lace and Bridal Party in Satin - length and detail.

In Dorris Wedding - Bridal in Satin, the wedding dress I featured was elegant and vintage in tone.  The wedding dress was full length.  The Satin Strapless Maxi Dress featured in this post is also full length.

As for the design of the Satin Strapless Maxi Dress, I opted to go with bold detail because she plays a special role in the wedding ceremony and should feel special in a bridesmaid dress she can wear more than once.  The ruching and flower detail is elegant and unique without distracting from the bridal elegance and perfectly accented embellishment.

As with Bridal Party in Lace, the bride in her satin wedding dress and, on either side, her bridesmaids in satin dresses will look gorgeous in photos.

Question - Can the bridal gown and the bridal party dresses be made with the same fabric?

Answer - Absolutely!

According to Brides.com, if the silhouette is the same for the bride's dress and the bridal party dresses, maintain complimentary colors.  This would follow a sense of bridesmaid dress etiquette.

In this post, I am featuring the Illusion Lace Tea-Length A-line Bridesmaid Dress with V Back in a stunning shade of dark blue.

I chose to feature this bridesmaid dress for two reasons - the shorter length allows focus on the bride's full length wedding dress and dark blue is a romantic color to accent romantic lace material (in my opinion alone). 

One other reason for featuring this bridesmaid dress is the low cost - one aspect of the wedding budget put at ease.

The bonus of the same silhouette but in different colors is in the wedding photography.  The bride in her white lace wedding dress and, on either side, the bridesmaids in their dark blue lace dresses will create beautiful and memorable photos long after the wedding and reception.
